Welcome to the 2017-18 school year. The newness of the school year brings mixed emotions for our students. While many are excited for the school year to begin, many others are nervous about their new grade level, building, or other academic or extra-curricular changes. Whatever the emotions are, please know that our staff is prepared to support them in every way possible.

As a school district, we are adjusting to changes as well. Whether it is a new third grade reading bill passed by the legislature last year, our district entering the Saginaw Valley League, continual facility upgrades, or curriculum and assessment changes that will improve student achievement, we are excited about what this school year brings. Like our returning students, we will be resilient in our approach to these changes, and we will view them as opportunities to grow.

This school year is sure to be another great year for our students and our school district. We will continue to focus on the overall growth of our students, and we will support them as they face the challenges that a new school year offers. If you ever have questions, concerns, or ideas for improvement, please do not hesitate to contact one of our schools or our administration office. We look forward to serving our students, families, and community again this school year.

With Bobcat Pride,
Matt Schmidt
